In 2012 our world, what we know now; is going to end. The doomsday foretold in the Mayan Apocalypse Prophecy. But the Mayan Calendar is not predicting the end of the world; the Mayan view this date as a rebirth, the start of the new era.

Until today we are still looking for a mysterious lost continent. Our lost empire, Atlantis has been sunk from a drastic event. So the world, as they know in that time; has ended and our time what we living every day has began. The survivors from Atlantis, spread around the planet to Australia, Africa, America, created the ancient civilizations and start everything all over again. With no earlier traces with a very high culture in they age, they bring high knowledge, which showing in Egypt pyramids and of course in the Mayan Calendar. The catastrophe, which caused Atlantis sunk, was a punishment from the gods, this is what they believe, and in order to not to get the punishment again, they keep it in secret the sacred knowledge.

We can relate that the Giza pyramids were not built to be the tombs of pharaohs, but were actually places of study and mystical initiation. Maybe the ancient Mayan pyramid Chichen Itza was the place for studies too. The Mayan priests observed the movements of the sun, moon, planets, and stars, developed a complex mathematical and calendrical system. The mystery schools were formed to explore life and learn the secrets. Only sincere students, displaying a desire for knowledge and meeting certain tests were considered worthy of being inducted into the mysteries. Unfortunately, the students number did become less and less, we forget the knowledge what the survivors of Atlantis did bring it. As we know the earliest pyramids still standing proudly while the later ones do not differ a lot from the heap of rubble. But they are given a good head start for us.

At sunrise December 21st 2012, earth will be crossing the galactic equator. Aligning itself with the center of the galaxy, this will make a cosmic cross, a Magnetic Field shift. If the Prophecy is true, we going to have a difficult time on that winter day, in order to the rise of the new world. Then, there is a question pop-up: Does doomsday repeat itself and we become Atlantis the Second?!

Mayan doomsday prophecy is now the talk of town. People are discussing this topic among them and worried about the new prediction made by the astronomers. According to the calendar produced by the Mayan civilization, the end of world is near. Even though there were references to this hypothesis in many religious books, the exact date was not confirmed. The book of Revelation in Bible is an example for this statement. In this book, it is clearly mentioned about the end of the lives on the surface of earth. Even though technology has advance to a great extent, human brains are not capable to control the movements of the solar system. Mayan doomsday prophecy is not a myth but a fact.

The mathematical calculator invented by the people of this civilization is an incredible task. People belonging to the modern generation are not even able to think of such a machine even with the availability of so many techniques.

They are checked against the actions of the heaven. Every event predicted using this calendar has so far became true which makes the astronomers tensed. They fear the Mayan Doomsday prophecy to be true and are researching more on this topic. The date suggested by the Mayans has a great significance. It is the day when the sun reaches its lower orbit. On this specific day the rising sun is supposed to come in a straight line with the black hole present at the centre of Milky Way.

Mayan doomsday prophecy is supposed to be accurate as they were considered as great astronomers. They made their livelihood by mapping the planetary movements in the solar system. This helped them in making a calendar which has proved to be correct all through the years. Mayan doomsday prophecy cannot be mocked at because there are many sources which supports this theory.

Mayan doomsday prophecy is the recent topic of discussion among the people. There are many sites present online which can help you to know more about this matter.

As the number of earthquakes, floods and hurricanes increases so does the awareness of 2012 doomsday prophecies. Solar flares, near earth objects passing within a moons distance of the planet and wide ranging temperature fluctuations have many people asking, “Is there any truth to the 2012 doomsday predictions?”

The Mayan Predictions

According to Mayan legends, the end of this cycle, interpreted by modern linguists as the “world,” will occur on December 21, 2012, commonly called 2012 Doomsday. On this winter solstice day, the earth and moon will be in alignment with each other in the middle of the Milky Way. Scientists confirm that this unique astronomical event only occurs about once every 26,000 years. The Mayan calendar is very accurate. It is based on numerical cycles and the end of the current cycle will occur on December 21, 2012.

The Mayans themselves interpret their legend differently than other cultures. The Mayans people do not believe that the end of the world as we know it, teotwawki, will occur. Their belief is that another calendar would have been created to replace this one ushering in a new cycle. However, this calendar was never created because of the arrival of the Europeans, which led to the demise of their culture.

Volcanism

There has been an increase in the occurrences of volcanic activity in the past couple of years. Even volcano’s which have been dormant for centuries are erupting. The Pacific Oceans Ring of Fire has become quite active. Small underwater eruptions, and larger, unexpected activity of volcanoes on many of the island nations, including the Philippines, have scientists scrambling to provide answers.

Earthquakes

Many areas are prone to earthquake activity. The interesting part of 2012 Doomsday predictions is that they include global earthquake activity. In the past few years, earthquakes have occurred in regions that were considered earthquake free zones. New fault lines are being discovered and old ones are changing. While the magnitude of recent earthquakes has not been much higher than usual, the aftermath of unexpected quakes has proven to be difficult. The Chilean 8.8 magnitude earthquake on February 27, 2010 moved an entire city ten feet and shortened an earth day by a few milliseconds. Now more than ever before, being prepared and taking the necessary steps to provide for yourself and family during and after an earthquake is important.

Famine and Plague

With extreme weather comes poor harvests and the potential for outbreaks of deadly diseases such as cholera and typhoid. Genetic modification of food crops has also been proven to allow genetic mutations of some insects allowing them to be less susceptible to poisons. Drought causes more difficulties as poor land management and over farming allows precious topsoil to be blown away the wind whips across rain-starved ground. Fire becomes another factor in the famine equation. As forests, fields and prairies dry up lightening and accidental ignition of the dry grasses cause wildfires. The smoke from these fires rises up into the atmosphere. When smoke accumulates in the atmosphere it causes the warming power of the sun to be bounced back into space. This can cause cooling in areas that are not used to such temperatures. These types of disturbances allow crop and human diseases to emerge and crop failures that lead to famine in areas that were once rich food crop regions.

No one can say for certain if the 2012 doomsday predictions will come to pass. Some believe that the predictions signal a change in the earth’s surface while others believe it will be the end of human civilization. Preparing for the worst, while hoping for the best, is a good alternative to doing nothing to help ensure your survival during any type of emergency.

Whether you’re an avid outdoors enthusiast or are seeking a fun family friendly activity, ice fishing is a great laid-back style sport that can be enjoyed in the wintertime or a climate with extremely cold year-round temperatures! Grab your long johns and let’s go!

First let’s decide where to go. In North America, the vast majority if ice fishing is done north of Maryland, where the colder temperatures allow the lakes to freeze enough to safely support the weight of people plus equipment.

Choose a location that is frequented by others – tried and true is the way to go here, so doing your homework via an internet search will yield you an abundance of options.

Next up is staying warm. Wear insulated waterproof boots with traction and warm socks. Waterproof gloves are a must as frostbite will set in in the extremities first if not kept properly warm. Protect your head with a hat and wear a scarf around your neck. Your coat should be insulated and weatherproof. Be sure to layer lots of clothing underneath! Your bottoms should be a warm yet breathable material. Am I sounding like your mother? Good, now run along to the next paragraph!

How much or how little equipment to use is strictly up to you. For a day trip you can get away with taking a chair out on the ice to sit on. If you’re planning to stay for an extended period of time you will need to invest in some protective housing like an ice shanty and a heater. If you really want to go all out, there are set ups that come complete with a bathroom and satellite TV!

Next, you’ll need something to break the ice, and no, I’m not talking about a naughty joke. More like an ice auger -manual or powered, it’s up to you. Add in a skimmer to remove the little pieces of ice that accumulate during the day and you’re almost ready!

Saving the best for last, let’s talk about the actual fishing equipment. A small pole with bait like minnows are preferred by some, while others like to use a tip up which has a flag attached that tips us when pulled. Carry a dip net in your bait bucket and bring a gaff hook to help get the fish out of the hole. Some like to bring a hook disgorger, too. Add in snacks, a good supply of water (wrap to keep from freezing solid) and a fishing license and you’re all set!

The shrinking economy we have nowadays is pushing people to resort to other ways of making an income like working over the internet. There is one method that is still pretty much a secret to many. Nobody would have ever guessed that selling and buying silver is easier than people think.

It all starts with these coins. What are they? These are everyday coins made of silver that have a greater value than it’s worth. Silver quarters, dimes, nickels, vintage half-dollars and dollar coins combined can be sold by the bag. These coins dated before 1965 have a 90% silver content which therefore, makes them more valuable than their face value.

Buying junk silver coins is being used as an alternate investment move since world markets are valuing gold and silver at higher rates nowadays. This means that you could buy your junk silver coins by bulk and sell them at a higher price later on.

In a way, it is similar to the stock exchange but this time you’re dealing with actual silver material.

It is also a recession-proof idea that will keep your funds safe since you are purchasing physical items instead of owning stock or an electronic fund. These coins are still legal tender and easily recognized. They are also popular with survivalists as a sort of “doomsday” currency and the small coins are perfect for bartering for smaller items, as opposed to much more valuable gold coins.

Junk silver coins are also found in the U.K. where coins made before 1946 have at least 50% silver content. Canada and Australia are also other countries that have similar junk silver coins.

Albert Einstein once said : “If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.”

Apocalyptic for sure. We haven’t reached that point yet, but some worrisome indicators suggest dramatic drops in the bee population of the US are likely to impact crop production. This is not a small agricultural sector that is being impacted either. In the US bees pollinate more than $ 14 billion worth of seeds and crops each year.

The disappearing bee phenomena isn’t restricted to the US. In Europe countries are experiencing varying degrees of what investigators describe as “colony collapse disorder” (or CCD). Countries effected include Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece. However the most serious losses have occurred in the US.

On the West Coast keepers have seen bee population losses in the 30 to 60 percent range. On the East Coast and Texas it gets as high as 70%. These are catastrophic drops for an industry that considers around a 20% population decline to be an off-season norm.

There are a number of different theories about why this is happening. After looking at a cross-section of scientific opinion I tend toward the view that the decline in the bee population is being triggered by a variety of factors, rather than a single overriding cause.

There is evidence that the immune system of bees has been adversely effected by modern agricultural practices. These range from use of insecticides to the controlled raising of bees in order to have an army of pollinators ready to service crops on schedule. Some researchers take the view that genetically modified crops are a contributing factor in bee population decline.

Stress figures into it too, given that increased pressure is being placed on colonies as their their habitat is squeezed each year due to urban development. Parasites are also an issue. The varroa mite introduced from Asia has proved to be problematic.

The decline in the health of the colonies can be demonstrated by research data. You know the problem has reached crisis levels when a guy like Dennis van Englesdorp with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture uses an Aids analogy in an attempt to underscore the seriousness of the threat to bee populations.

Researchers have discovered multiple infections co-existing in some colonies, many of which were also infected with fungi, an indicator that the bees’ immune systems were seriously compromised. This compromised immune function may be related to genetically modified crops and scientists are currently working to try to determine any possible links. When you look at the stats though, on the surface there does seem to be a generalized cause and effect pattern. In the US, which has experienced the most severe bee losses, 40% of the corn is now a GM insect-resistant strain. By contrast in Germany we are only talking about 0.06%, mostly grown in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg regions.

A number of earlier studies investigated whether or not GM crops were having a negative impact on bees. One such study took place at the University of Jenna from 2001 to 2004. The researchers used a GM maize variant named “BT corn” that includes a gene from a soil bacterium in order to make it insect-proof. At first the study seemed entirely positive. No discernible negative effects were detected in the bees from the BT corn. Then researchers discovered that when the bees were attacked by a parasite, the portion of the colony exposed to the BT corn had a much lower ability to fight off infection and showed much more rapid levels of decline.

There is a second set of factors though that raises concerns about quantum-mechanical effects related to magnetic fields and electromagnetic waves. The majority of losses have been occurring as a result of bees being unable to navigate back to their hives. Bees have been expiring singly, in a seemingly disoriented state far from the hive and this can’t simply be attributed to immune system issues.

There are two possible causes. One being our high-tech gadgetry, particularly mobile phone technology. The other cause odd though it may seem, relates to so-called “sunspots” – the effect of solar activity.

At first glance it seems a bit far-fetched to make a connection between the life of bees and mobile phones. However research suggests there may indeed be something to this theory. German research has determined that bees showed a marked change of behavior when in the vicinity of power lines, and a study conducted at Landau University found that bees avoided returning to the hive when mobile phones were placed nearby.

A study by the mathematician Barbara Shipman, provides one of the more fascinating … one might even say ‘esoteric’ theories. A critical aspect of bee activity hinges obviously upon finding pollen sources and returning to the hive. According to Ms Shipman this routine is facilitated by the dance the bees perform. She indicates that the dance is influenced by factors such as the polarization of the light of the sun and variations in the earth’s magnetic field.

She goes further though and suggests bees are capable of identifying quarks. I think it’s a leap to suggest that bees can ‘perceive’ the quantum field or even use it as a type of frame of reference. My hunch is that their activity is pretty much instinctual, based upon their highly specialized circuitry. Questions about whether or not they can perceive quarks seems almost a moot point, especially since there is no way of proving it.

Where the sunspot theory does hold up is that bees appear to be very sensitive to energy fluctuations. One study exposed a colony to bursts from a high-intensity magnetic field and concluded that the bees’ reactions revealed a high sensitivity to nuclear magnetic resonance, or NMR. This occurs when an electromagnetic wave alters the orientation of the nuclei of atoms.

Some scientists take the view that the next solar maximum may be one of the most intense ever. Mausumi Dikpati, an astronomer with the National Center for Atmospheric Research predicts a solar maximum for 2012, a phenomena that last occurred in 1958. The sunspot generates intense magnetism that can be felt on the earth. Dikpati even believes that it is possible electronics will be effected, for example GPS and mobile phone technology. Since solar cycle 24 began in 2007 according to Mausumi’s estimate, it’s possible that the behavior of bees is already being effected to some degree.

The dramatic declines in the bee population appear to be due to a combination of factors. Insecticides, crop engineering, shrinking habitats and parasites have impacted the overall health and immune system of bees. The other factor contributing to bee decline relates most probably to side-effects of technology and solar activity.
